This is Scrumptious Seasons, a monthly newsletter, where I’ll be considering the constant conundrum - which is the loveliest season?

Is it Winter - with snowy walks, long cosy evenings with a good book and gorgeous Christmas feasting?

Or perhaps the Spring, with golden daffodils, bustling, busy birds building nests and foil wrapped chocolate eggs?

Maybe the Summer, with long, sun-filled days, loose, comfortable linen and fresh lettuces and tomatoes every day?

It could be Autumn, with brisker walks, rediscovered hats, gloves and scarves, baskets full of sumptuous fruit and pumpkins, and putting away homemade jams and chutneys for future months?

I’ll share a seasonal recipe or two, books to cherish, both old and new, things that have inspired me. It may be something I’ve noticed, or tried, a place I’ve visited, or posts and articles I’ve loved.
